CRA announces Anna Ganley as Chair
18th December 2025
The Creators’ Rights Alliance held its 2025 Annual General Meeting yesterday when members voted in Anna Ganley, CEO of the Society of Authors, as CRA Chair for the next 12 months.
At a time when creators are facing existential threats to their livelihoods and individual rights, Anna brings a fresh voice and a deep understanding of the issues facing creators.
Anna also sits on the board of the International Authors Forum and is a member of the London Book Fair Advisory Board.
Under a new CRA structure, Anna will be supported in her role by two Co-Vice Chairs, Isabelle Doran, CEO of the Association of Photographers and Board Director of the British Copyright Council, and Deborah Annetts, CEO of the Independent Society of Musicians.
Isabelle remains the CRA’s AI and Copyright Area Lead, whilst Deborah brings her extensive experience of campaigning on issues affecting creators.
Speaking about her re-election as Chair, Anna said:
“I am once again honoured to Chair the Creators’ Rights Alliance at this critical time for UK creators who, across disciplines, are dealing with income and work opportunities in freefall due to the impacts of unregulated generative AI. Creators face ongoing issues around deteriorating pay, contracts and working conditions. In 2026, we will mobilise members to collectively push for fair remuneration, better working practices, and stronger protection of intellectual property rights so that creators and performers of all backgrounds can sustain a creative career.”
There are no other changes to the CRA Board at this time. Current Board members are:
Chair: Anna Ganley, Society of Authors
Co-Vice Chair: Isabelle Doran, Association of Photographers

Luke Alcott, Authors’ Licensing and Collecting Society
