CRA Summer Reception

The CRA’s summer drinks reception brought together a distinguished gathering of old and new members, reflecting the breadth and unity of the creative community. Attendees included representatives from the Association of Photographers (AOP), Association of Illustrators (AOI), Musicians’ Union (MU), BAPLA, the Incorporated Society of Musicians (ISM), the National Union of Journalists (NUJ), the Authors’ Licensing and Collecting Society (ALCS), and Association of Voice Agents(AVA), among others.

The event was generously hosted in the Society of Authors events space in Bedford Row; and the CRA extends its sincere thanks.

Chair Deborah Annetts addressed the reception, offering thoughtful remarks on the challenges ahead, particularly the urgent need for coordinated lobbying on AI and its impact on creators’ rights. The evening served as both a celebration and a call to action, reaffirming the CRA’s commitment to advocacy and collaboration.
